About the Artist

Hi! I’m Savvy Jensen

Hi! I’m Savvy Jensen and I’m a digital painter, webcomic creator, and travelling iPlein Air artist. I started out as a classically trained oil-painter but then went rogue and started painting on the computer. I got my BFA in oil painting from Utah State University, but started tinkering around with a Wacom tablet and Photoshop after graduation– and well, the rest is history. My works have a distinctly “traditional” feel, with the energetic brush strokes and texture of oil painting, but enhanced by the opulent colors of the digital medium. I draw inspiration from my favorite anime, video games, and TV shows as well as my many adventures around the globe.

I create and paint (yes, it is painted in full color, because I hate myself) the epic, solarpunk-skyworld webcomic Leviathan Sky on Webtoons. If you like giant death mechs, enthralling worldbuilding, will-they-won’t-they romance, or heart-pounding action, it’s probably your thing.

I’m a rolling stone and showcase my artwork at many of the top anime, comic, and pop culture conventions in the United States. I also like to fly around the world and paint on location on my ipad.  When I’m not doing art, I like paddleboarding, hiking with my handsome husky/heeler mix, snowboarding, and serving my true purpose as a mobile perch for my parrot-cat.
